What's happening
As part of ongoing maintenance and rectification activities, pavement remediation works will be undertaken along sections of the Augusta Highway between Beaufort Road and Middle Range Road. These works are necessary to further strengthen the pavement surface, ensuring a smooth and durable road for all users. Crossovers lanes are being constructed to safely redirect traffic and enable the pavement remediation works to be carried out.
How this affects you
Works will commence Wednesday 29 October to construct lane cross overs at Middle Range Road and Bumbunga Road to enable works to be carried out (see map below for details). Rectification work and traffic changes will begin on Monday November 17 and are anticipated to be completed by Friday 12 December 2025, weather permitting.
Works will be undertaken Monday to Saturday, between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm.
The following traffic management arrangements will be in place during works and vary depending on the location and stage of works:
- Between Bumbunga Road and north of Middle Range Road – all traffic will temporarily use the Adelaide-bound carriageway, while remediation works are undertaken on the opposite side. One lane will remain open in each direction with reduced speed limits place.
- Between Bumbunga Road and Beaufort Road – lane closures and reduced speed limits will be in place for the duration of the works. One lane will remain open at all times.
